Aims and Objectives
From a Health and Safety perspective the primary purpose of an accident investigation is to identify the causes of an accident in order to implement
remedial action which will prevent a recurrence of the accident.
This will often involve looking beyond the immediate, direct, underlying or root causes of the accident.
Only when all of these have been identified and tackled can we claim to have taken effective action.
Completion of this accident investigation course will enable delegates to successfully investigate accidents.
