Aims and Objectives
Working Safely is a one day course for staff from any sector with no supervisory or managerial responsibility
The course provides grounding in the essentials of health and safety so that delegates gain an understanding of why they must
"work safely" and what they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their day to day working environment.
The course covers all the main health and safety issues, and also includes a session on the environment.
The IOSH Working Safely course can be delivered as part of an induction programme or as part of ongoing training.
Course Content
- Introducing working safely.
- Defining hazard and risk.
- Identifying common hazards.
- Improving safety performance.
- Protecting our environment
Assessment and Certification
Delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments can choose to receive either an
IOSH Working Safely certificate or an IOSH Passport.
This course is approved by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
